Salaries Drive Employment Over Mission

In the past, young job seekers have been willing to accept a lower salary in the nonprofit sector than they could earn with a private company, but this is no longer true. As we emerge from the pandemic, salary is the top decision driver for accepting any type of employment.

Nonprofits will need to take a hard look at how their wages compare to other sectors if they want to recruit and retain the best young talent.
